The CIVITAS Prosperity and European Urban Transport Roadmaps 2030 projects invite you to a training workshop on the Urban Transport Roadmaps online scenario-building tool.

The tool, commissioned by DG MOVE, is designed to support cities in exploring alternative transport scenarios/roadmaps and translating their vision on sustainable urban mobility into a concrete set of actions for their Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs).

The training is designed for policy-makers and technical staff of cities and towns, mobility experts and stakeholders. During the training you will be introduced to the Urban Transport Roadmaps online tool and have the opportunity to explore the tool hands-on.

Working on a practical exercise and supported by our experts, you will learn how to develop a sustainable urban mobility strategy comprised of the most suitable mix of transport policies and measures to achieve your targets.

With its easy-to-use approach the tool will allow you to:

  • explore and identify appropriate sustainable transport policy measures
  • quantify the transport, environmental and economic impacts of these measures
  • consider an implementation pathway (roadmap) for the policy scenario.

This free training session will be held on Tuesday 28 March in Dubrovnik (Croatia), from 15:00 to 17:00. Places will be limited to 25 to allow for the group exercise working directly with the tool, so make sure you register early to ensure you can attend this practical training session for the Urban Roadmaps tool.

The training workshop is a side event of the 4th European Conference on Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans. Please note that the registration for the training workshop closes on Friday 10 March 2017.
