2nd 'Vehicle 2 Grid' conference & SEEV4-City launch
Electric vechicles for the renewable city
The event will bring together stakeholders from diverse organisations (public and private sector) to discuss real case experiences and the latest insights to implement systems and advance energy transition in cities.
The plenary session on 'Integration, Policy and Business Cases' will explore new practices in energy balancing, innovative business models, and how policy is shifting to respond to changes in the market.
On Friday afternoon, 12 May, the organisers will host the launch event of SEEV4-City (Smart, clean Energy and Electric vehicles for the City), an innovative project co-funded by the EU North Sea Region Programme.
SEEV4-City has established seven operational pilots in the North Sea Region which are trialling the practical applications of systems that combine electric mobility, renewable energy and smart energy management.
Some pilots are small and focused on households, others on districts. Some projects maximize the use of electric vehicles, meanwhile others count with stationary batteries. In addition, some are applied to living areas, and other to business buildings. The seven pilots are:
- Leicester, U.K.: Vehicle 2 Business
- Kortrijk depot, Belgium: Vehicle 2 Business
- Amsterdam, Netherlands: Vehicle 2 Neighbourhood
- Amsterdam Arena, Netherlands: Vehicle 2 Business
- Vulkan Project, Oslo, Norway: Vehicle 2 Neighbourhood
More information about SEEV4-City and the operational pilots can be found on the project website.
